News summary

World of Sea Battle published its B20 update notes, titled Naval Supremacy, on July 10, 2026. The official page describes changes to guild privileges, influence points, reputation, port battle tension, ships, Specialists, smuggling, the interface and several technical systems.

Both dates are in the past, and the current client state has now been checked. The birthday event that B20 announced ran from July 12 to July 25, 2026, closing more than a month before this recheck, so it is reported here as a historical event rather than as a live offer. The developer's official Steam news channel confirms that B20 remains the live version as of September 13, 2026: it has received five numbered hotfixes (July 12 to August 27, 2026) and two further unnumbered technical hotfixes (September 3 and September 5, 2026), but no new major update has replaced it. None of those seven hotfixes mentions the Wind Rose rework, which the original B20 notes said would arrive "in one of the upcoming patches," so that specific item remains unshipped as of this recheck.

Section 02

Guild privileges change the group layer

The B20 notes introduce a guild privilege system. The official page says that privileges can improve guild development, ship and cannon crafting, resource gathering and access to additional possibilities such as consumable items and a five-character guild tag. The notes also set the maximum fleet size at 30 members.

Influence points are reworked as well. The update changes how guild missions earn influence, changes the cost of certain actions and sets a new supply rating amount for one influence point. The exchange is limited to players who have the necessary authority to manage the guild treasury.

These details describe the structure documented by the developer. They do not tell us how an individual guild should allocate resources, because the correct choice depends on its members, faction and server activity.

The notes add an Active Defense mission for trading guilds and describe season-end influence bonuses for military faction guilds. The official rule gives a larger bonus to the winning faction and a smaller bonus to the faction that finishes second. RigCircuit has not independently checked the season result or calculated the effect on any guild.

Section 03

Reputation and tension rules were reworked

The update changes how reputation behaves after a player sinks another ship. The official notes remove reputation reductions for sinking allies from a squadron, the player's guild or trusted guilds. They also revise penalties for neutral, military and trade targets, and set a maximum cumulative penalty.

The aggressor status duration increases from two minutes to five minutes. B20 also separates the tension-raising mode into its own game layer. The notes say that the attack window is shortened from two hours to one hour, and that players who participate in the mode see one another and non-player ships.

The port-owning faction cannot interfere with the sides raising tension during that window. Patrol counts and respawn timing are also adjusted. The patch notes say that tension values for some actions change, but this article does not turn those numbers into a strategy recommendation without a current client check.

Section 04

New ships and Specialist systems expand the fleet layer

B20 adds new ships and replaces the earlier special crew wording with a Specialist system. The official notes identify new ships such as the Bonhomme Richard, San Juan Nepomuceno, Qīng Lóng and Tiě Lóng. They also list additional shipyard options and describe activatable abilities for ships in the Imperial branch.

The notes further change class bonuses, crafting inputs, emergency reserve behavior and several balance values. Those entries are patch facts, not proof that one ship is now the strongest choice. A current article about fleet selection would need the live tooltips, build rules and a documented test method.

Section 05

The update also addresses economy and interface work

The official page says that smuggling and cargo transport missions were reworked. It describes changes to bonuses, route lengths, prosperity and wage accrual. A new Logbook window, Exchange name search, profile medal tiers, guild tag controls and multiple interface improvements are also listed.

The notes include three new Arena maps, changes to attack windows, new missions for the Military and Trade academies, improved camera range and a Fishing mini-game. They list fixes for ship models, collision behavior, reputation display, crafting, fog, storms, the Exchange and other systems.

The page also mentions improved water graphics, new sounds and updated visual effects. Those are developer statements about the patch scope. RigCircuit has not measured frame rate, image quality, loading time or input latency before and after B20.

Section 06

The birthday event was scheduled for July 12 to July 25

Alongside B20, the official notes announced a World of Sea Battle birthday event for July 12 through July 25. The event description mentions daily missions, treasure maps, a special currency and rewards from the Overseas Merchant. The page says further details would be published closer to the start.

The window closed on July 25, 2026, more than a month before this August 27, 2026 update, so it must not be written as an active offer. A refreshed article would need the final event post and the current archive before listing specific rewards or claiming that an account can still earn the currency.

Section 07

What PC readers should know

World of Sea Battle is played on PC, but B20 is a rules and content patch rather than a client requirement change. The notes mention improved water graphics, new sounds and updated visual effects, and none of that is a measurement. RigCircuit has not tested frame rate, frame time, loading time, input latency, network behaviour or image quality before and after B20, and the notes publish no minimum or recommended specification.

The patch also does not settle account, server or regional conditions. Guild role, faction, kingdom season and server activity change what a player can reach, and season-end bonuses depend on a result this article has not verified. Readers should take those conditions from the current client rather than from a July patch note.

Because the notes are seven weeks old and unverified against the live client, no setting, build or upgrade decision should be taken from this article. Those belong in a Setups or Hardware article, and only after a documented test.

What this report does not claim

This draft does not rank ships, recommend a guild build or promise a competitive advantage. It does not claim that the listed changes are still identical in the current client, and it does not present the birthday event as live. It also does not claim a performance improvement from the graphics or interface work.

Source and method note

The primary source is the official World of Sea Battle B20 article dated July 10, 2026, published on the publisher's own game domain and therefore Tier 1. The official news index, on the same domain, was rechecked on September 13, 2026 and still lists B20 as its most recent entry. The developer's official Steam news channel, also Tier 1, was checked the same day for the full hotfix history: five numbered hotfixes between July 12 and August 27, 2026, and two further unnumbered technical hotfixes on September 3 and September 5, 2026. No store listing, video, wiki or community post was used.

The update notes are summarized by theme, with exact numerical rule changes retained only where they clarify the dated patch record. Current-client confirmation is now resolved: B20 remains the live version as of September 13, 2026, and the deferred Wind Rose rework has still not shipped in any hotfix. The July birthday event is reported as closed.
