Source-led route
Understand the current Champion and Gear information first, then make small choices you can explain later. That is the first-session goal in RAID: Shadow Legends, and assembling a universal endgame team is not. The game presents Champions, Gear, campaign activity and many ways to collect or improve items at the same time.
This is a sourced draft based on official Plarium pages checked on August 26, 2026. It does not claim a new-account test, a starter-Champion ranking, a guaranteed pull result or a fastest progression route. Current opening steps and live interface labels must be verified in the PC client before publication.
Evidence
Start from an official PC option
Plarium states that RAID: Shadow Legends can be downloaded on PC through Plarium Play, Steam, the Epic Games Store or the Microsoft Store. Choose one official route and keep account recovery information private. See the RAID: Shadow Legends official game page[1].
This article does not compare store versions, prices or promotions because those are time-sensitive facts that need their own dated check. Published system requirements belong to the Hardware category, so this Guide does not repeat them, estimate FPS or name a GPU. See the Hardware article RAID: Shadow Legends PC requirements and launcher planning, slug raid-shadow-legends-pc-requirements.
Section 02
Learn what your current Champions can use
The official Gear guide explains that Artifacts and Accessories can be equipped by Champions, and that individual pieces provide stat bonuses. It also describes set bonuses that apply when a Champion has the required number of items from a Set. See Basic Guide: Gear Overview[2].
For a new roster, use a narrow process:
- Open the current Champion information and read the role and skill text shown in the client.
- Inspect the Gear you already own before looking for a perfect set.
- Change one Champion or Gear decision at a time.
- Return to the next available activity and note what problem the change was meant to solve.
This is editorial advice. It does not declare a best Champion, best set or fixed team because those claims require a current version, stated objective and stronger evidence.

Action plan
Treat Gear as information before inventory pressure
According to Plarium's guide, Gear can have a primary stat, substats, rank, rarity and set association. A piece can therefore be useful for reasons that are visible in the game, not only because its name appears in an old online list.
When you compare two pieces, check:
- Which Champion will equip it.
- The current primary stat and substats.
- Whether it contributes to a complete set bonus.
- Whether the next available activity actually needs that change.
Avoid using real-money purchases as the default answer to an early inventory decision. A beginner guide should explain how to read what the account already has before it discusses a paid option.
Section 04
Understand Champion Fragments without overpromising
Plarium states that Champion Fragments are tied to specific Champions and can be used to summon that Champion once the required amount is collected. Its current support page says the Fragment Summon tab provides information about acquisition methods for a specific Champion. See Basic Guide: Champion Fragments[3].
The safe beginner action is to read the in-game information for the specific Fragment before committing to a plan. Fragment requirements, events and shop offers can change. This draft does not promise that a particular Champion, event or acquisition route will be available.
Section 05
Keep a first roster focused
The official game page describes a large Champion collection and multiple activities. For a fresh player, a focused roster helps make each Gear or skill decision easier to read. Pick the Champions you are actively using, learn their visible roles and avoid changing the whole roster after one difficult stage.
If an encounter is difficult, identify the immediate issue first. It may be the current Gear, the available Champion choice, the activity requirement or a rule that needs to be read again. Do not label a Champion weak, broken or required without a clearly defined test and version.

Action plan
Avoid three early mistakes
Copying a current tier list as a permanent rule
Champion availability and game balance can change. A list may be useful research, but it does not replace a versioned and evidenced RigCircuit recommendation.
Upgrading every item without a purpose
The Gear guide shows that individual pieces and sets have different properties. Read the current item first, then invest in the piece that serves the Champion and activity you are using now.
Treating event information as evergreen
Fragments can come from several sources, including events and tournaments. Verify every time-limited condition in the live client before presenting it as an action for new players.
Evidence record
What to verify before publication
Record the PC client build, opening tutorial steps, exact menu labels, available account options and the visible rules for the first Gear and Fragment choices. A future field-tested guide also needs a documented account state and reproducible route.
Publication record
Keep the decision trace visible
This route passed its publication checks. Future reviews must reconfirm the source date, game build, media rights and reader action.
- Confirm the source. Recheck the linked primary or authoritative page.
- Confirm the media. Keep the approved WordPress path and rights note attached.
- Confirm the next move. Give the reader a clear action without inventing a test.
