Source-led route

This is a sourced setup framework for a clear and stable Enlisted PC configuration. It is not a benchmark, a universal preset or a claim that one setting improves frame rate on every PC. RigCircuit has not yet measured frame rate, frame time, response or image quality on a local test system for this draft.

The goal is to give players a safe starting point, then make one reversible change at a time. Official Enlisted sources confirm that the game supports graphics API choices, ray tracing, upscaling technologies and several cinematic effects. The exact labels and availability still need to be checked in the installed PC client before publication.

If frame rate has dropped or stayed low on a setup that already runs normally, use Enlisted low FPS troubleshooting with a controlled graphics reset instead, which isolates a suspect cause rather than proposing a starting profile.

Evidence

Confirm the supported PC environment

Enlisted publishes a minimum PC baseline of 64-bit Windows, an Intel Core i3 class processor, 8 GB of RAM and a DirectX 11 level GeForce GTX 660 or Radeon 78XX class GPU at 720p, and a recommended tier built around a Core i5-10400 or Ryzen 5 3600 class processor and a GeForce GTX 1080 or Radeon RX 5700 XT class GPU. Enlisted system requirements[1]

These figures are compatibility information. They do not state a target frame rate, a preferred preset or an ideal graphics configuration. The full specification table and any upgrade advice belong to the Hardware category, not to a Setup article, so this section stays a short recap.

Before changing anything, record the installed game build, the Windows version, the graphics driver version, the display resolution and refresh rate, and the graphics API the client is currently using. Those five values are what a later comparison is measured against.

Evidence

What the official sources confirm

Enlisted's own update posts confirm which graphics features exist in the client. They document a graphics API selector, ray tracing, several upscaling technologies and a set of individual cinematic effect toggles. They do not publish a recommended value for any of them, so everything below is a feature list rather than a preset.

  • The Auto Graphics API option uses DirectX 12 on GeForce RTX 30 and RTX 40 series graphics cards. DirectX 11 remains an explicit option. Update 0.7.5.103[2]
  • Enlisted documents ray tracing, dynamic resolution with ray tracing, DLSS Ray Reconstruction and a graphics option for ray-traced foliage and clutter. Ray tracing and graphical improvements[4]
  • Official updates document DLSS 4.5, FSR 4 and XeSS 2. They also document a DLSS Legacy Mode option in the antialiasing settings. Update Hidden Threat[3] Ray tracing and graphical improvements[4]
  • RTX 50 series owners can enable DLSS Multi Frame Generation. Improving graphical effects[5]
  • Enlisted documents individual controls for Film grain, Lens flare from the sun, Chromatic aberration, Motion blur and Screen Space Weather Effects. Improving graphical effects[5]

Feature support is not a measured result. The effect of a setting on a specific PC remains untested until RigCircuit records a repeatable test.

Section 03

Start with a clarity baseline

The following profile is editorial advice, not an official Enlisted preset. It provides a controlled baseline for players who prefer a clean image while they diagnose their own setup.

Official setting or setting area Starting point Editorial reason
Resolution Native monitor resolution Establishes a clear reference before rendering changes are introduced
Graphics API Auto on the first launch Auto is the documented path for RTX 30 and RTX 40 cards
Ray tracing Off while establishing the baseline Keeps optional ray-traced features outside the first comparison
DLSS, FSR or XeSS Off while establishing the baseline Makes the first comparison easier to interpret
DLSS Multi Frame Generation Off while establishing the baseline Keeps generated frames out of the first comparison
Film grain Off for a clarity-focused profile Removes the documented film-style noise effect
Lens flare from the sun Off for a clarity-focused profile Removes the documented lens artifact effect
Chromatic aberration Off for a clarity-focused profile Removes the documented colored-edge effect
Motion blur Off for a clarity-focused profile Removes the documented motion blur effect
Screen Space Weather Effects Off for a clarity-focused profile Removes screen-level rain and snow effects while judging the image

Every label, mode and availability condition in that table still has to be read in the installed client. Write down each original value before changing it, because restoring that value is the only rollback this article offers.

None of these values is optimal for every player. They depend on the device, the game mode, accessibility needs and the current client build. Turning a cinematic effect off is a presentation preference, and this article does not claim that it raises FPS, lowers latency or improves competitive performance.

Section 04

Choose the graphics API deliberately

Use Auto for the first launch. The official July 2026 update states that Auto starts DirectX 12 on GeForce RTX 30 and RTX 40 series cards, while DirectX 11 remains available as an explicit choice. It does not describe Auto behavior for every other GPU family.

If the installed client selects DirectX 12 and runs normally, keep that result in the setup record. If a renderer-specific issue appears, test DirectX 11 as one controlled fallback. Do not change the graphics API and several image-quality settings in the same pass.

Section 05

Add upscaling only after the baseline

Enlisted documents DLSS, FSR and XeSS support. It also documents DLSS Ray Reconstruction for ray tracing. Start at the selected native resolution, then enable one supported technology only if the baseline needs investigation.

For each pass, record the exact technology and mode shown in the client. Compare the same text, distant detail, foliage and motion in the same scene. Do not describe an option as faster, clearer or more responsive until a documented RigCircuit test has measured it on the named PC.

Section 06

Treat Multi Frame Generation as a separate choice

The official source states that RTX 50 series cards can use DLSS Multi Frame Generation. Keep it disabled while establishing the first baseline. If it is later tested, record the rendered output and the displayed result separately, along with the test scene and response observations. This draft does not contain a latency claim or a frame-rate claim for that feature.

Section 07

Keep ray tracing outside the first comparison

Enlisted's March 2026 material confirms ray tracing support, including Intel GPU support, dynamic resolution support with ray tracing and a configurable foliage and clutter option. Begin with ray tracing off for a clarity baseline. A visual-focused profile can test ray tracing after the baseline is recorded.

Change one ray-traced feature at a time and examine the same reflections, shadows, foliage and water. The developer recommends the Performance preset for DLSS Ray Reconstruction in a specific transition from ray tracing without upscaling. That is a developer recommendation for that feature path, not a general performance result for every PC.

Evidence record

Use a one-change test method

Without a local RigCircuit benchmark record, avoid treating a settings list as a result. Use a repeatable comparison instead.

  1. Record the PC, Windows build, graphics driver, exact game build, resolution, refresh rate, display mode and selected graphics API.
  2. Use the documented Auto graphics API path only for the first launch, which is the situation the official update describes.
  3. Confirm that the client opens and reaches the hangar normally before changing anything else.
  4. Change one setting only, and restart only when the client requires it.
  5. Use the same replay or repeatable mission segment for every pass, kept to the same duration.
  6. Keep the previous value when the new result is not preferred, and save screenshots and notes with each change.

Every step above is undone by restoring the value recorded in step 1. This is a Setup workflow. It does not rank GPUs and it does not recommend an upgrade.

A future field-tested version must publish its hardware, game build, driver, scene, duration, repetitions and raw measurement evidence before reporting average FPS, 1 percent low, frame time or response.

Section 09

Build profiles after testing

A profile is a named set of choices a player returns to, not a recommendation RigCircuit has tested. The three below describe what each profile is for and what evidence it still needs. None of them names a value that has been measured on a documented PC.

Clarity profile

Use the editorial baseline above: native resolution, optional presentation effects off, ray tracing off and Multi Frame Generation off. Add one supported upscaler only after logging the native reference.

Balanced profile

Start from the documented baseline, then test one enabled feature at a time. Keep the article's evidence record with every change. This profile needs field-tested evidence before it can name a recommended value.

Visual profile

Start from a stable baseline, then test ray tracing and the supported upscaling path available on the named PC. Enable cinematic effects according to player preference. Do not present this as a universal quality profile without a documented configuration and test record.

Section 10

Roll back a bad change safely

Every change this article describes lives in the Enlisted client menus, so every change is undone by setting the value back to what was recorded before the pass. Nothing here writes outside the game.

  • Restore the last setting that changed.
  • Test the explicit DirectX 11 option if a renderer-specific problem began after selecting a different graphics API.
  • Disable ray tracing, upscaling and Multi Frame Generation before rebuilding the comparison from the baseline.
  • Record the failed combination before resetting it.

Avoid registry changes, unofficial injectors and unverified configuration files. This draft covers reversible in-client configuration only.

Evidence record

What remains before publication

RigCircuit must verify the installed Enlisted build, every menu label and feature availability in the current PC client. A field-tested update must also document the PC, driver, scene, repetitions and raw evidence before it reports a performance or image-quality result.
