Download guide
Check your hardware first, then use the related RigCircuit checklist to review the Genshin Impact Windows route
- 01Compare the specification
Record your exact CPU, GPU, memory and Windows version before deciding.
- 02Check the drive
Reserve at least 110 GB and keep extra space for downloads, unpacking and updates.
- 03Verify the final page
Confirm the game, Windows route and launcher before starting the download.
- 04Read the installer prompt
Stop if the product, region or Windows details do not match your device.
The next guide opens on RigCircuit and covers the related PC check.
In a hurry? The gallery, PC requirements and download guide above contain the essential answer. Keep reading for the evidence, limits and practical checks.
Source-led route
You need Windows 10 64-bit, 8 GB of RAM, a GTX 1050 or Intel Iris Xe class graphics device, DirectX 11 and at least 110 GB of available storage to meet the published minimum. HoYoverse recommends 16 GB of RAM and a GTX 1060 6GB or better.
These figures come from the HoYoverse Help Center and were rechecked on September 13, 2026 against the Version 7.0 device performance preview on HoYoLAB. RigCircuit has not benchmarked that build, so the article separates published compatibility data from performance testing.

Official Genshin Impact PC requirements
The table below reproduces the PC rows from the HoYoverse Help Center and uses the Version 7.0 preview on HoYoLAB as a secondary cross-check.
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10 64-bit | Windows 10 64-bit or Windows 11 64-bit |
| Processor | 6th Generation Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen series, or equivalent | 7th Generation Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 5000 series, or better |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Discrete graphics | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 or equivalent | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB or better |
| Integrated graphics | Intel Iris Xe or equivalent | Not separately specified |
| DirectX | Version 11 | Version 11 |
| Storage | 110 GB of available storage space or more | 110 GB of available storage space or more |
The support page uses one 110 GB storage figure for both columns. It also warns that the requirement grows with future updates and recommends an SSD for a smoother experience. An older guide may show a smaller number, but the live support page and launcher should take priority.
The Version 7.0 maintenance preview on HoYoLAB[3] lists an estimated 8 GB for update pre-installation. That number describes one update package, not a fresh installation. Leave room above the current launcher figure for downloads and unpacking.
Context
What the minimum specification means
The minimum column identifies the hardware class HoYoverse accepts for installation and launch. The Version 7.0 preview warns that systems below it may fail to install or start, show a black screen or freeze.
The AMD side of the processor row is a broad label. "AMD Ryzen series" names no generation and no model, so it is too vague to compare a specific chip against, and this article does not pick a generation to fill the gap. The same applies to the words "or equivalent" next to the GTX 1050.
Laptop owners should record the exact processor and graphics model. A laptop GPU and a desktop GPU can use similar names while operating within different power and cooling limits. The published table supports the named requirement. It does not prove that every device sold under an equivalent label will behave identically.

Context
What the recommended specification means
The recommended column doubles the memory target to 16 GB, moves the processor reference to a 7th Generation Intel Core i7 or Ryzen 5000 series chip and raises the graphics reference to a GTX 1060 6GB or better. It also adds Windows 11 64-bit.
Use that column to plan headroom over the minimum. It does not name a resolution, graphics preset or frame rate target.
Action plan
Upgrade priorities for an existing PC
Use the order below to find the first clear mismatch without buying parts too early. It is an interpretation of the published requirements, not a product ranking.
Confirm the operating system and API
Check that Windows is 64-bit and that the installed graphics device exposes DirectX 11 support. If the platform fails this basic check, changing a graphics setting will not solve the compatibility problem.
Check memory before replacing the platform
Compare the installed capacity with the minimum 8 GB and recommended 16 GB references. Before buying a module, verify the motherboard or laptop specification, the number of slots, the supported capacity and whether the existing memory can be reused.
Identify the exact graphics device
Record the full desktop or laptop GPU name and compare it with the GTX 1050 minimum and GTX 1060 6GB recommended references. Also check whether Windows is using the discrete GPU or Intel Iris Xe. A label such as gaming graphics is too vague for this decision.
Review the processor and platform together
The processor requirement is expressed by generation and series rather than by one universal AMD model. Record the complete CPU name and whether it belongs to a desktop or laptop before comparing it with the table.
Reserve storage for the live client
Treat 110 GB as the amount needed before later updates and temporary files are considered. Check the current installation notice on the day you download and prefer an SSD as the support page recommends.
Evidence record
Record a clean pre-installation baseline
Save these details before changing hardware or troubleshooting the launcher.
- Windows version and whether it is 64-bit
- Complete CPU and GPU model names
- Installed memory capacity
- DirectX version and active GPU
- Launcher storage figure on the check date
- Installed graphics driver version
The HoYoPlay FAQ on HoYoLAB[4] explains that the launcher has its own minimum requirements and that each game has separate requirements. It also directs players to check the game specific compatibility information when a title will not launch.
Section 06
When a measured answer is still needed
The table cannot answer whether a GTX 1050 reaches 60 FPS, whether a GTX 1060 suits your chosen resolution or which preset works on Iris Xe. Those questions require a named PC, Windows build, driver, game build, resolution and repeatable scene.
Start with the published rows to rule out obvious compatibility problems. If performance is the real question, record those variables and test one setting change at a time.
