Can you play Zenless Zone Zero on Mac?

What the official HoYoverse, Steam and App Store pages list for Zenless Zone Zero, and why none of them documents a native macOS version on the date checked.

Source-led route

HoYoverse's minimum device requirements page includes the note "macOS currently not supported" beside its iPad requirements. The page was last updated on August 26, 2025. Steam's system requirements tab lists Windows, and the App Store compatibility section names iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Apple Vision. The pages checked September 20, 2026 do not list a macOS client. That says what the current sources document, not what a future version may support.

This check covers official and controlled pages only. The game was not tested, and any route the publisher does not document is out of scope.

Section 01

HoYoverse states that macOS is not supported

The HoYoverse minimum device requirements page for Zenless Zone Zero[2], last updated August 26, 2025, lists Windows 10 64-bit or later for PC, DirectX 11.1 or later, an Intel Core i5 7th generation or AMD equivalent, 8 GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or similar. The iPad minimum line says "iPad equipped with A12 chip or above and 4GB RAM (macOS currently not supported)." This is HoYoverse's stated wording.

Section 02

The Steam store page shows one operating system tab

Valve's Zenless Zone Zero store page[3] is published by COGNOSPHERE PTE. LTD. Its system requirements section shows one operating system tab, Windows, with rows for processor, memory, graphics, DirectX and storage. The desktop requirements panel has no macOS tab or Mac-specific row.

Section 03

The App Store listing has no Mac line

The Zenless Zone Zero App Store page[4] shows COGNOSPHERE PTE. LTD. as the seller. Its compatibility section lists iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Apple Vision, each with its own minimum operating system version. The page has no Mac line.

Section 04

Apple's Mac App Store mechanism does not surface it either

Apple lets a developer make a compatible iPhone or iPad app available on Mac computers with Apple silicon without a separate Mac build. Apple's Running your iOS apps in macOS documentation[5] states that this happens by default for eligible apps unless the developer opts out, and the App Store user guide[1] explains that a qualifying app is labeled Designed for iPhone or Designed for iPad when viewed on a Mac.

Opening the Zenless Zone Zero App Store listing through the Mac storefront on September 19, 2026 showed only iOS and iPadOS requirements, with no macOS requirement line and no Designed for iPhone or Designed for iPad label. The listing does not say whether the app is ineligible for this mechanism or the developer opted out.

Context

What this means for a Mac owner

The pages checked here list Windows PC requirements and mobile and console platforms. They do not list a macOS client. These sources do not answer whether a particular Mac could run the game through another route, so this article makes no claim about that. It does not recommend or describe an emulator, translation layer or sideloading method.

Open the HoYoverse minimum device requirements page and check its macOS note. Check the Steam system requirements tab and the App Store compatibility section for a Mac entry. If any of these pages changes, use its current wording and update this article.
