Use this page for short interruptions while War Thunder continues running. If the picture is slow most of the time, use War Thunder low FPS troubleshooting with a safe reset. If the slowdown began after a patch, use War Thunder low FPS after an update. If the game closes, this is a crash report.

These labels help describe the symptom. They do not identify its cause. RigCircuit did not measure stutter or test a fix in War Thunder.

Record what happened

For a useful issue report, write down when the hitch occurred, what was visible on screen and what you were doing. Gaijin asks for a clear problem description, steps to reproduce it when possible, the platform, category, game version and relevant files.

Gaijin's bug report page says client logs are saved after the game closes. The latest .clog file is in the .game_logs folder. A client replay is in the Replays folder. The page also describes the in-game report route and the War Thunder issue tracker.

Section 02

What Gaijin's support pages cover

Gaijin publishes separate pages about diagnosing GPU and CPU overheating, clearing NVIDIA and DirectX cache, and performing a Windows clean boot. These are procedures in its support library. The pages do not establish that heat, cached files or startup software caused a particular stutter, and this article does not claim that any procedure cures it.

If you use one of those pages, follow its current instructions. This article does not reproduce menu paths or Windows controls that were not checked in the current environment.

If the game closes

A game that closes or freezes needs a crash report, not a stuttering diagnosis. Use Gaijin's bug report process and include the exact message, game version and files it asks for. Do not infer a fix from an unrelated report or from a single symptom.
